12-year-old comes up with idea for hot-selling Harry Potter product
Crosden Walker was 12 and had just finished reading J.K. Rowling's first Harry Potter book, ''Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone,'' when he told his mother her company should make the kits.
Crosden has the satisfaction of his Harry Potter idea come to fruition. Neither his parents nor Delta have paid him for his brilliant idea.
''He gets to eat. That's his payment,'' his mother said.
Each of the kits has a scientific lesson that is tied into Harry Potter's books. Take the Harry Potter Eeylops Owl Emporium. Part of the Eeylops kit challenges children to identify the remains of an owl's pellet. When an owl eats, it digests the soft tissues of its prey and then regurgitates the bone remains.

ABC Gets TV rights to 'Harry Potter' Movie

ABC has acquired the TV rights to the record-setting "Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone" and its as-yet-unfinished sequel, "Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets," in one of the most expensive such deals in TV history, the network said on Thursday. Terms of the negotiations were not disclosed, but reports put the figure somewhere between $60 million and $70 million for each film. ~ People.com more.....>>
